What is AYON?
AYON is a surgical suite of body contouring energies that combines:

Apyx® Medical Corporation (NASDAQ:APYX), the manufacturer of proprietary helium plasma and radiofrequency technology marketed as Renuvion®, received 510(k) clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for the AYON system in 2025.
AYON was launched with select key surgeons nationwide on August 4, 2025. Dr. Vanek is honored to be among these leaders. His role as a key opinion leader reflects his extensive experience and published peer-reviewed work in ultrasound-assisted liposuction and helium plasma technology.

Dr. Vanek has published the largest series of abdominoplasties combining ultrasonic-assisted liposuction and Renuvion. His research shows that adding helium plasma does not increase risk or recovery time, while producing tighter, smoother tissue appearance.
Skin Tightening
AYON’s dual modalities — ultrasonic liposuction + RF helium plasma Renuvion — provide unmatched tightening and contouring.
- Ultrasonic liposuction has been proven (2012 Nagy study) to tighten more effectively than traditional hollow cannula suction.
- Renuvion helium plasma is FDA-cleared for treatment of skin laxity in all body areas. It targets subcutaneous tissue and skin without damage.
- Ideal for patients with lax tissue after weight gain/loss, postpartum changes, or those using GLP-1/GIP inhibitors who now experience loose skin.
Ideal Candidates

- A postpartum patient with persistent fat or lax tissue

- At or near your goal weight after weight loss but left with lax skin
- Someone on a weight loss journey who wants interval contouring
- A non-smoker or someone who has quit smoking/vaping for better healing

Recovery
Recovery depends on how many areas are treated, but patients benefit from:
- Small 3–4 mm incisions in discreet locations (axilla, umbilicus, behind knees, undergarment lines).
- Safe outpatient procedures with reduced blood loss thanks to ultrasonic liposuction.
- Showering the next day and light walking (one mile encouraged).
- Compression garments worn 3–6 weeks to optimize results.
- 48 hours of downtime, with return to routine activities within days.
- 3–5 days off from strenuous work or sports.
Every recovery plan is personalized. Dr. Vanek reviews risks, incision placement, and recovery expectations during consultation.
Results
AYON results are long-lasting.
- Devices have been in use since 2015, with Dr. Vanek’s patients showing excellent outcomes up to 9 years post-treatment.
- Natural aging continues, but AYON provides durable contour improvements.
