Dillon’s Congenital Ectropion Condition

Photo of Meet Dillon, His story for blog photo

Dillon is an 18 year-old who has suffered from Congenital Ectropion since he was a child.
His mother brought him to Dr. Vanek after having seen several specialists who were reluctant to undertake his very difficult and technical procedure to correct his externally rotated eye lids and chronic inflammation of his eye lashes.
He had a procedure called a ‘lateral tarsal strip’ done on each eyelid and in this video he is several weeks post-op with normal shape and function of his eyelids, having completely healed.
His mother is so happy that he’s feeling better about himself and much more confident in his appearance!

Listen in to our patient in his own words! Meet Dillon, this is his story and his experience.
