At Mentor Plastic Surgery & Medspa, our team is currently looking for participants to join our fat viability study that compares VASER Ultrasound-Assisted Liposuction and AYON Ultrasound-Assisted Liposuction.

Fat viability is the likelihood of fat cells staying alive and healthy after they have been removed, processed, and readministered after a fat grafting procedure. When fat cells have higher viability, they have a higher chance of surviving long-term and establishing their own blood supply. However, many factors can affect fat viability, including how the fat is removed, how it is processed, the way a surgeon handles it, patient lifestyle factors, and more, which can affect those who undergo procedures such as:

About VASER Ultrasound-Assisted Liposuction

Eligibility Requirements

To be considered a candidate for this study, you must:

  • Be between the ages of 30 and 50
  • Be non-diabetic
  • Be non-smoking
  • Possess a BMI between 20 and 35
  • Interested in undergoing liposuction to address your:
  • Abdomen
  • Flanks
  • Arms
  • Thighs
  • Trunk

Dr. Vanek will assess each of these factors during your consultation to determine whether you meet our requirements.

Participation Benefits

  • Monetary Compensation: Every patient who participates in our fat viability study will receive $1,000 for participating
  • Included Aftercare: We will include any post-operative care or follow-up appointments, as they are part of our practice’s standards for surgical surveillance and postoperative care.
  • Easily Combinable Approach: You may undergo this study while undergoing procedures and treatments to address other concerns, as our study will only affect the previously listed regions.
