I absolutely adore and admire Dr. Vanek for not only being a great plastic surgeon, but for how amazing he makes you feel from start to finish. Anything you want done, he will guide you through! He will ensure you have the best possible results while still maintaining your natural beauty, while no one really knows for sure what you’ve had done! I love the Halo laser treatments he offers. Not to mention his office looks more like a gorgeous spa than a surgeons office! It’s pristine! Cleaner than any doctor’s office I’ve ever been in! His staff is by far the most professional and competent people by far. Overall, I am OVERLY impressed with the results he’s achieved with me!

I don’t trust many people with my body or my face, Dr. Vanek is one of the few. Carly is his nurse practitioner, and she’s absolutely amazing as well! I can’t say enough good things about his whole staff!

There’s never any pressure to get something you don’t need. And the results keep me coming back! Now that I’m an adult, and in need of some tweaks here and there, I won’t go anywhere else!!!

In August 2024, I decided that was too young for age spots so I scheduled an appt with Dr. Vanek. He told me that he could take care of my age spots but I needed to do something about the skin cancer first. I was not expecting that diagnosis. He did a biopsy and it was positive for cancer. Two weeks later, I had surgery on my face to remove the cancerous tumor. My incision was at least 5 inches long. Today, I have no scar at all. Dr. Vanek is an artist and a great surgeon. I am so grateful that I was feeling vain. Thank you, Dr. Vanek. You’re the best!

I had a brow lift in order to help my chronic migraines. Dr Vanek & Mindy went ABOVE & BEYOND any of my expectations! I was nervous about getting the surgery as my migraines were 100% debilitating! I have suffered from migraines for over 40 years! I had my surgery on Aug 21, 2024. I have had only one major migraine since surgery which was due to the fact that my Vyepti (migraine medication infusion) was delayed 3 weeks; error was on the part of the infusion center. Once I received my infusion, I went right back to being migraine free!
Never in a million years would I have thought/believed I would live a migraine-free daily life!
I still get headaches but not full-blown migraines!

I had surgery in February and have been extremely pleased with the outcome and the care provided by Dr. Vanek and his team. The post op massage has been a huge part of my recovery. I tried the 30 minute timeframe and quickly realized I needed one hour for each session to maximize my healing. I had significant swelling in my arms that was reduced each time I completed a massage treatment. Kayla has working to assure the massages are helpful and address the swelling concerns. She really cares to make sure the experience is as relaxing and therapeutic as possible. At 6 weeks post op, I had a problem with some pain that was new and frightened me in the middle of the night so I called and spoke with Dr. Vanek who quickly arranged for me to see him within 45 minutes on a Sunday at 9am. I never experienced this level of caring and compassion from a physician in my life. His concern is genuine and he takes this passion to the treatment he provides. I could not have dreamed of a better experience or better care than I have received thus far – so much, that I am going back for another procedure in April. I highly recommend you seek treatment from Dr. Vanek and his team if you ever choose to look and feel better about yourself. Dr Vanek repaired my ripped earlobe 20 years ago, 20 years later it still looks like a tiny spec, barely visible. That being said I returned to have my stretched out earring hole repaired. It was a quick, painless procedure with quick healing. Two months later returned and Dr Vanek repierced earlobe. I am very happy with the results the second time around.

Friendly and experienced.

I love wearing earrings but unfortunately my ear lobe was stretched. I booked an appointment to have my ear lobe repaired by Dr Vanek. I was nervous walking in the door but Dr Vanek and his staff were so welcoming and warm that I felt at home. The place was beautiful as you walk in the door. Dr. Vanek performed a breast reduction on me on Dec 6th. I am just about 1 month post op and I cannot believe my result so far. You would never know I went under the knife such a short time ago as the anchor incisions are almost nonexistent. I may be very lucky in the healing department at age 31 or Dr. Vanek knows through & through what he is doing to ensure the most favorable aesthetic outcome for his patients. The following day after surgery, I was advised to walk up to 5 miles daily, which is amazing news, as I live an active lifestyle and could maintain some semblance of exercise without down time. The staff at Mentor Plastic Surgery are all so kind and helpful. Mary Jo who schedules the surgery made me feel welcome and cared for. I recommend the spa at the Mentor Plastic Surgery facility for post surgical massages to aid in healing and mobilize sensitive tissues. Also, Carli is a fabulous nurse injector in regard to filler and Botox/Dysport. She is knowledgeable and I trust her advice & guidance on maintaining my natural look.

I got my first chemical peel ever here and I am so pleased! the ladies at the front desk are super friendly and nice. The esthetician who did my peel lead me through the entire thing and also gave me thorough instructions on what to do after. I was very pleased! She also did my eyebrows and they came out PERFECT! The Best of the Best! I’m always 100% satisfied.

I got a breast reduction in July of 2020 and I will never regret it. From the beginning all the staff were very nice and Dr. Vanek explained everything in great detail while making me feel very comfortable. I was a little nervous because I had never had a major surgery before and of scaring but he reassured me that everything would be fine and in the end I would be so much happier. It is now December of 2020 and I absolutely love how I look now. My back pain vanished, my posture is a lot better, and I am so much more comfortable with my body. I have had my scars lasered once and you can barley see most of them, some are still pretty noticeable but it has only been five months and there is still a lot more healing to do. Overall, I am very happy with everything and would would 100% recommend Dr. Vanek to a friend.

Both Dr. Vanek and all of the people who help in his practice are incredible. I have wanted to get surgery on my nose for at least ten years but never did due to either cost or the misconception and reputation that surrounds plastic surgery. In April 2015 my story really begins when I began to suffer from horrible ear pain, sinus pressure and ringing ears. I did not know what was wrong with me. I went to my general practitioner, who found I had a sinus infection, which was followed by antibiotics but nothing helped. It only got worse. This led me to an ENT, whom I visited multiple times and had multiple tests done from allergy to hearing to figure out the problem. Finally, my ENT found I had a deviated septum, which had always been there but only had gotten worse as my body changed. The solution was surgery. However, my ENT wanted to try other routes instead and I spent almost one year with prescription strength Flonase.

June 2016 I began my search for surgery after flying on an airplane four times and suffering from the worst crippling migraine ever. The nose spray had worked somewhat in 2015 in flights, but was useless by June 2016.

This jumps back to the fact I’ve never liked my nose. I started to search for a surgeon who would both be able to accomplish the medical tasks and cosmetic. I went to over five consultations. Each doctor was about money. Money, money, money. The one actually wanted me to put up $600 to book a surgery date the first consult and he never did any images to show me what I would look like after.

Finally, without any hope I went on another trip to LA and was browsing through an inflight magazine on United. It had listed all of the best surgeons across the country based on state. Dr. Paul Vanek was ranked the top for the entire Cleveland and surrounding areas. When I got home, I made an appointment and met with them about two weeks later.

The entire staff is over the top genuinely nice. The other places I went tried to be gimmicky. They wore tight leopard print clothes, stiletto heels, and all had the same haircut and bad attitude to match. Dr. Vanek’s office was an amazing experience. It’s like talking with close friends. They want you to be happy, it’s not about the money, it is not about pushing you into any other surgeries, it is about focusing on you and your happiness. He also does not rush you.

Several consults, phone calls and back and forth on what I wanted I finally pinned my date for surgery down. They were VERY patient with me and never rushed me.

On Dec 29, 2016 I had a rhinoplasty to fix my nose cosmetically and medically so I can breathe (WHICH I CAN) I can breathe out of both sides of my nose now. My ears are no longer congested either and so far, no headaches. The surgery for both took about four and half to five hours. I also had my chin fitted with an implant. On top of Dr. Vanek’s amazing service, the Mentor Surgical Center which is in the same complex as his building is also very professional, courteous and so kind and warm. They made what should have been nerve wracking, comforting.

I did not have any pain when I was done. You can take pain meds, but I didn’t need to. Yes, it was that painless. No, I’m not lying. I did not take a single pain pill during the five days you have to wear the cast.

I did take two pain pills the day they take the splints out of your nose which he told me to. He was right, that part sucked.

I did not bruise at all. I am fair skinned and blue eyed and did not suffer any bruising. My nose was everything I wanted. My chin is still a bit swollen but that takes about a month to finally show you the full results.

I am writing this post on day 8. I breathe! My chin isn’t tight, and I’m back to eating.

You will bleed more if it is more than just cosmetic. You’ll be congested and won’t be able to taste food. But it is ALL WORTH IT.Just know recovery is sort of rough if you get medical done. You will

When I am making a decision about my health, there are three things that are very important to me: knowledge, skill and kindness.

After being diagnosed with breast cancer, I needed to find a surgeon with these three characteristics and I found them in Dr. Vanek and his staff. From the very first encounter I felt their compassion and caring. At a time in my life when I was overwhelmed, each person I spoke with on the phone or met in the office put me at ease and made sure I knew that I would be well cared for.

My type of breast cancer was not a common diagnosis and although this does not make it more serious, I was impressed that Dr. Vanek was knowledgeable about it and how he helped me understand the choices I had to make about treatment. After deciding to have a double mastectomy, Dr. Vanek explained my options for breast reconstruction. Because he is both a general surgeon and plastic surgeon, he could perform both my double mastectomy and reconstruction. In addition, Dr. Vanek also offers a new option for breast reconstruction called Prepectoral direct to implant with Alloderm. This type of reconstruction allowed me to have less pain, a shorter recovery and the mastectomy and reconstruction were completed at the same time.

I don’t usually write reviews online, but I think it is important that women have all the information they need when making decisions about breast cancer and reconstruction. Although I wish others would not have to face this, I hope this review helps women diagnosed with breast cancer learn about their options and consider Dr. Vanek for their care during this difficult time. In Dr. Vanek, they will find a compassionate, knowledgeable doctor and skillful surgeon who cares deeply about their fight against breast cancer and will help them rebuild what may be lost because of this disease.

I had a breast augmentation in January with Dr. Vanek and I could not be more pleased with the experience or the results. As a healthcare provider I recognize the importance of good customer service and follow up care, I received both of these with Dr. Vanek. The follow-up was extremely thorough, I had one time where I felt concerned that something was wrong and I was immediately seen in the office that day.
